Mime is the art of creating imaginary worlds - and living them with our entire being - body and soul.
This workshop is a close look at mime, an important element of physical theatre. We will look at manipulation, fix point, character change, storytelling techniques, the 20 Lecoq elements, walks and other essential elements to compose a mime sequence.
All levels are welcome, whether you are an experienced physical actor looking to refresh your tools, or you just want to try something completely new. We will aim to reconnect you with your body, and expand your ability to narrate a story through it.

Francesca Fatichenti is an actress who trained extensively in physical theatre and Commedia dell’Arte, clowning, Lecoq and Decroux technique. She has worked with renowned masters including Philippe Gaulier and Carlo Boso. Her credits in physical theatre include Retrogusto Pop (Italy, 2025), The Green Bird (Edinburgh, 2023), Le Songe d’une Nuit d’Été (Italy–France, 2023), and La Folie d’Isabella (Avignon, 2022). She has also performed at the National Theatre of Italy, Tate Britain and National Theatre of Romania. She is the Artistic Director of Psychonaut Theatre. She is also part of the mime duo Partners in Mime, that performs regularly at multiple events across England.
